A lot has changed at CUNY BPL over the past few years – Honey Berk, our longtime Managing Director and leader of the DCAS Energy Data Lab, among many (many!) other projects – has stepped up as our new Executive Director. The role was held since 2006 by Michael Bobker, now our Founding Director, who has taken on a number of new endeavors with our parent organization, the CUNY Institute for Urban Systems – including, most notably, developing the new Charles B. Rangel Infrastructure Workforce Initiative at The City College of New York.
Our Training department has evolved significantly in these years, alongside the Sustainability Help Center – and together, they’ll soon launch a new, dedicated CUNY BPL Training site. Look for that announcement this fall.
With all these changes, we thought it was time to revamp our website, putting greater emphasis on our research initiatives as well as creating more space to recruit interns and post job announcements. Because if you haven’t heard, we’re growing (25 full time employees and counting!). We’re glad you’re along for the ride.
